Benzalkonium Chloride 50% is a quaternary ammonium salt used in disinfection and sanitization of hard surfaces and algae control in water and swimming pool treatment. The Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride is a molecule approved for sanitizing food industries at a concentration of up to 200 ppm in active (for food contact surfaces).

It is compatible with cationic, non-ionic, and amphoteric surfactants, and is stable over a wide pH range, and can be used in combination with various inorganic and organic acids and bases.

Benzalkonium Chloride is a biodegradable product and the most widely used active ingredient in the production of household, industrial, and professional disinfectants.
