Diethanolamine 85% is a viscous organic liquid that has two organic functions, being a secondary amine and a diol.
This substance has several functions in the most distinct industrial sectors, such as a remover of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide for petrochemicals or as an alkalizing and neutralizing agent, which is one of its main functions.
Compared to Triethanolamine, a substance with similar structure and functions, it has the advantage of not being regulated by the army, being a good alternative to the first one.
Because it is an amine, it is also used as a corrosion inhibitor.
